Artist's Description
This row of trees standing at attention shouted "pick us" and so I did. The photograph was taken late in the day and void of color so I used Photoshop and filters to digitally enhance the image.
About Susan Moody
Susan Douglass Moody was inspired to pursue art by watching her great-grandmother paint. Susan studied fine arts at Metro State College and the Art Institute of Denver. She now works predominantly in silk and dyes to make nature-inspired images, although she is skilled in several media, including watercolor, oils and photography. She does not use resist with her dyes, but prefers to allow them to flow at will to create unknown and uncontrollable effects. She says, "It is like the dye has a life of its own."
